The World Health Organization has Approved the World’s First Malaria Vaccine

In a significant period, the WHO suggests widespread use of the RTS, S/AS01 malaria vaccine among children with moderate to high P. falciparum transmission of malaria. 

The vaccine is the result of 30 years of research and development by GlaxoSmithKline GSK in collaboration with the international NGO ‘Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) and a network of African research centers.

At least 20 people have died in a Powerful Earthquake in Southwest Pakistan
